SeaTec is proud that its partner Aermetric is deploying its innovative maintenance platform to Alaska Airlines, which serves over 120 destinations and operates over 1,200 flights daily.
Aermetric’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) maintenance platform provides near-real-time analytics and smart fleet management that increase aircraft availability and reduce unplanned maintenance costs for commercial, business and defense aircraft. Cloud-based, the centralized maintenance and logistics platform provides custom analytics to monitor the health of fleets, flag chronic maintenance issues, predict maintenance needs and track out-of-service aircraft. It can operate independently or integrate with other operations systems.
“We are on the edge of a digital transformation in aerospace,” Derek Waterman, founder and CEO of Aermetric, said in announcing the Alaska deployment. “Forward-thinkers like Alaska see major value in turbocharging their reliability programs with the power of big data – we’re excited to make that happen for them.”
Aermetric is among the many digitally enabled engineering services SeaTec provides to customers. Recognizing the potential of Aermetric’s solution to help fleet operators manage maintenance more efficiently and effectively, SeaTec invested in and became partners with the company in mid-2021.
“Early on we recognized that SeaTec and Aermetric were on complementary paths to helping airlines and other fleet operators improve their maintenance operations,” said Allen McReynolds, SeaTec managing partner. “Aermetric’s deployment with Alaska Airlines demonstrates how well their software platform fits in among the technical services and digitally enabled solutions we provide our aviation customers.”
With offices in San Diego and San Francisco, Aermetric’s software is used in over 4,200 aviation assets encompassing every manufacturer of commercial and business jets as well as some U.S. Air Force aircraft.
