Stephanie Alcivar

Vice President, Quality & Compliance Programs: Stephanie is a leader of people and work packages, with proven experience in solving complex problems, accelerating implementation, and improving processes through the use of Project Management, Lean / Six Sigma, and Change Management methodologies. Currently leading a team providing Aircraft Technical Records and Maintenance Programs expertise to major airlines.   Responsible for business development, project execution, recruiting/staff, quality assurance, financial performance and coaching. Previously an internal consultant and program manager for Target, where she consulted directly to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer.   Built and led a portfolio management team of Senior Managers and Directors to identify, track, and prioritize initiatives for business unit. Developed governance structure, empowering teams to execute and enable faster decision-making. Ensured cost avoidance thru precluding use of external consultants. Led team of internal consultants to accelerate delivery and improve results of key business initiatives leveraging Project Management, Lean / Six Sigma, and Change Management methodologies. Previously, served as aircraft structures engineer with Delta Air Lines, implementing repairs and fleet-wide modifications to ensure aircraft safety and performance at optimal levels. Stephanie earned her BS Mechanical Engineering and MBA from the University of Minnesota.

James Anderson

Managing Director, Engineering:  James brings 20 years of experience in engineering, information technology and management.  While at SeaTec, James has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Services team that focuses mainly on airplane cabin modification projects for commercial airlines.  James led a team of engineers that assisted a major airline with post-merger cabin conversions to reflect to the cabin standards of the newly merged company.  James also led teams of engineers that supported a major airline with entry into service activities for several fleets as well as teams that supported the airline on multiple cabin reconfiguration projects.  James held a similar position prior to joining SeaTec, along with leading a team of engineers creating aircraft tooling and performing bulk CAD-to-CAD conversions.  James’ previous experience includes 8 years as a Product Lifecycle Management engineer that consists of installing, customizing, and supporting Dassault Systèmes’ SmarTeam application.  James is a CATIA Certified Expert, an Autodesk Inventor Certified Professional, Pro-Engineer power user, SolidWorks advanced user, and Pro/INTRALINK administrator.  Along with his professional experience, James served as the IT Administrator of a small non-profit for 5 years.  James studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of North Georgia.

Kim Balcos

Senior Technical Fellow and Principal Consultant: Kim brings more than 30 years of aviation experience in the areas of airworthiness & aircraft technical records, engineering standards, in-flight training, and quality assurance.  At Delta Airlines, Kim was deeply involved with the integration of the airline’s databases related to maintenance forecasting and component tracking. Functioning as liaison between the business and IT, she was involved in strategy, requirements, design, test, and implementation of a sophisticated migration tool for the monumental task of merging data from several legacy systems into SCEPTRE.   While at Delta Airlines, Kim attained the distinguished recognition of the Chairman¹s Club award.  Having joined SeaTec in 2014, she continues to play a key role in other major airline integration activities with a continued focus on safety and compliance. Kim’s role in the airline mergers includes leading teams through an aircraft-by-aircraft migration effort across the disciplines of Maintenance Programs, Engineering Projects (Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins); Major Assemblies; and, Time Limited Components in relationship to FAA & company mandated forecasting requirements.  Kim holds a BA in International Relations with a focus on cultural anthropology and languages from the University of Minnesota.

Ann Berner

Principal Consultant and International Account Executive: Ann brings nearly 30 years of experience in avionics, flight systems development and certification; with expertise in system integration and test, systems safety, analysis, flight simulation and flight test. While at SeaTec, she has been a key contributor and team leader in aircraft hardware-software test integration for the U.S. Air Force KC-46A Tanker and the U.S. Navy’s P-8A Poseidon aircraft. Prior to joining SeaTec, Ann was a founder in two firms providing system safety and systems engineering services to a variety of clients, focusing on auto-flight and navigation, flight management systems and other avionics. Before becoming a consultant, Ann worked for Hughes Aircraft Company, Universal Avionics Systems and Boeing Commercial Aircraft in development and safety engineering. Her experience at Boeing included identifying safety-related product improvements through the analysis of data from accidents and incidents involving jet transports. She holds a patent for the invention of the Flight Emulation Test System (FETS), which allows full airplane-in-the-loop integration testing.  Ann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Justin Bevington

Principal Consultant and Senior Technical Fellow: Justin brings more than 20 years of aviation experience, having held leadership roles in Engineering, Finance, and Project Management. While at SeaTec, Justin has played a key role in engine maintenance sourcing and technical operations integration projects within the Air Transport Operations practice.  Prior to joining SeaTec, Justin was the Program Manager for Delta Air Lines Materials Integration initiatives within the TechOps division. He also spent time at GE Aviation where he played a key role in developing risk management strategies for pricing and underwriting long term engine maintenance contracts across multiple GE platforms. While there, he took on the role of Finance project lead for GE Infrastructure’s contractual services agreement (CSA) modeling Center of Excellence (COE), a corporate initiative to disseminate modeling best practices to all Infrastructure businesses. Justin has extensive experience in stochastic modeling and contract financial analytics for engine maintenance proposal generation and contract management. Justin has also led large scale aircraft interior program development and modification projects with both the Boeing Company and Delta Air Lines. Justin holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA with a focus in Finance and Risk Management from Georgia State University.

John Buchanan

Principal Consultant and Technical Fellow: John brings over 20 years of aviation related experience in engineering, maintenance operations, supply chain management and e-Business programs. While at SeaTec, John has consulted in the areas of systems engineering, business analysis, program management and product development. He is also leading SeaTec’s involvement in NextGen (Next Generation Air Transportation System) and providing program management assistance to the FAA’s early implementation projects. John has been a key contributor in pioneering work on requirements development, value analysis, and business case analysis related to aircraft hosted applications and communication systems for improving airline operations. Prior to SeaTec John worked for Delta Air Lines in various management and technical roles in e-Business, avionics engineering and supply chain management. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

David Butler

Senior Vice President, Leadership and Organizational Development: At SeaTec David leads the Leadership and Organizational Development Practice which focuses on partnering with organizations to develop relevant, nimble, and high value solutions to leadership and organizational challenges. David brings over 30 years of executive leadership in human capital performance, including the CEO of Vector Group International which specializes in providing leadership and organizational performance solutions to Fortune 500 companies. A recognized thought leader in peak performance strategies, David has served as the Chief Human Resource Officer for Mesa Air Group, Arizona State University, University of New Hampshire, Kaiser Hospitals, as well as an elite performance consultant for Olympic athletes and military special forces operators. David holds a BA Degree in Human Services, MA Degree in Organizational Management, and is currently completing his PhD doctoral research in the area of Peak Performance Psychology.

Kauser Dar

Vice President Aerospace & Defense and Principal Consultant: Kauser Dar is a principal consultant with more that 25 years of aerospace industry experience that includes traditional systems engineering, project management and mission operations. Starting her career at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a systems engineer on the Voyager and Galileo programs she focused on satellite command and control systems, system architecture, system fault analysis and mission operations. Prior to SeaTec she held several technical, management and executive leadership roles at Boeing, Andrews Space, and Airlaunch. Her most recent work includes architecture analysis and integration, requirements development, and leading critical design reviews for both the U.S. Air Force KC-46 Tanker and the Boeing AEW&C program. Her body of work also includes leading proposal teams and developing agile processes for teams to integrate and test architectures and develop operational concepts. She partners with leadership to develop near term goals, build roadmaps and implement strategies to meet the changing needs of her clients. Kauser earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Gonzaga University and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from University of Southern California.

Don Ferrel

Non-Executive Chairman and Principal Consultant: Don founded SeaTec in 2000 and brings over 35 years of technical and business experience in the commercial and defense aerospace industries. At SeaTec, he led successful systems engineering teams on three military aircraft development programs, led an unprecedented software development for commercial airplane E-Enabling, led information system evaluations for major airlines and contributed to various other study contract engagements – while evolving SeaTec from a start-up with only very small contract and part-time people to the diversified, admired consulting firm it is today. Before founding SeaTec he directed business segments at the consulting firm Scitor and managed various defense engineering development programs for Rockwell International. Don’s technology expertise includes electronics, satellite systems, airplane systems, airborne connectivity, business systems, and real-time embedded software. Don also applies his business experience in the areas of program management, strategic planning, business development, decision analysis, “hands-on” project management, “best practices,” proposal development and organizational development/team building. Don earned Bachelor degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Washington State University, and did graduate work in Physics at the University of California.

Paul Harper

Vice President, Engineering & Managed Services and Principal Consultant. Provides oversight for consulting teams on major information systems integration programs, engine maintenance sourcing, Inflight Entertainment, connectivity technology and sourcing programs optimization efforts for airline customers.  Paul brings over 20 years of aviation related experience in engineering, maintenance programs, supply chain management, interior component manufacturing, project management and MRO businesses.  His aviation career began at Delta Air Lines as a Liaison/Structures Engineer.  During a 12-year period he moved through several areas of increasing responsibility within Engineering, Fleet Projects, Maintenance Planning and Supply Chain Management.  Paul left Delta to become the VP of Engineering at Zodiac Airline Cabin Interiors (formerly Heath Tecna) and later became a GM and business unit leader for Interior Architecture and Integration products. Then he joined Aviation Technical Services (MRO) as GM/VP to grow Engineering Services Division.  Paul earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering and Ocean Engineering both from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Emory University.

Katerina Hur

Principal Consultant and Technical Fellow: At SeaTec, Katerina has worked on systems and project engineering engagements for a major airplane manufacturer including e-Enabling airborne and ground system development and integration, wireless system performance characterization, customer introduction service package development, airline applications value analysis, and satellite communications systems trade studies and analysis. Katerina has also worked on NextGen related projects, a white paper for a major US airline customer on airborne broadband data technology, and technology demonstration of advanced air traffic management and airborne security applications for a broadband airborne communications service provider. She has also led radio interface requirements development for a major, defense-related communications network program. Prior to joining SeaTec, Katerina was the VP of Product Development and Product Management at Monet Mobile Networks (formerly Burst Wireless), the first carrier to deploy 3G broadband mobile data services in the United States. Katerina also held engineering, product development, and management positions at Raytheon Company, Hewlett Packard, and Lucent Technologies. Katerina received her Dual B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering, M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. She holds several issued US patents and is an author of over 40 technical publications. She is a Senior Member of IEEE.

Ron Iverson

LT General Ronald W. Iverson (USAF RET) serves as Outside Director on the SeaTec Board.  He has a distinguished career in both military service and industry.  LTG Iverson earned a BS degree from the University of Idaho in Agricultural Economics and is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons School,  Nellis AFB, Nevada. He graduated from the National War College, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington D.C. in 1985. He also attended the Program for National and International Security, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.  He serves as an Outside Director on the SeaTec Board of Directors.

A career military officer, LTG Iverson spent 32 years with the United States Air Force and retired as Lieutenant General in 1997. He served as the 7th Air Force Commander and Deputy Commander of United States forces in Korea immediately preceding his retirement.

Iverson served as the Chief Executive Officer of LGS Innovations LLC until June 2012. Lt. Gen. Iverson joined Lucent in 2006 as Vice President, Bell Labs for Special Projects. In this capacity he led Foreign Ownership and Influence negotiations within the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) process for the Alcatel merger with Lucent.  He also represented Lucent in reaching out to government customers in support of business development and marketing.

Prior to Lucent he was in the Senior Executive Service within the Department of Defense as the Deputy Director for Industrial Security at the Defense Security Service. He then joined Northrop Grumman as an Executive Account Manager for Air Force and Joint Systems.

LTG Iverson served on the board of TTMI and was the Chairman of the Government Securities Committee. TTMI is a FOCI controlled company under an SSA as they are the parent company over affiliates located in China.  LTG Iverson and his wife Penny have four children and eight grandchildren.

Darryl Jackson

Senior Vice President, Operations:  Darryl is a senior executive who provides strategic and operational leadership for SeaTec. He is one of SeaTec’s subject matter experts in Business Strategy, M&A, Operations Excellence, Sales Management, Business Integration, Organization Development. Darryl attended the University of Virginia where he received his MBA/JD at The Darden Graduate Business School, and The University of Virginia Law School. As an undergrad he attended North Carolina State University, and received his BS, Physics and Applied Mathematics and graduated Summa Cum Laude. While playing football at NC State, Darryl was honored as a Football Academic All American and is today a Member of the College Football Hall of Fame (Defensive Back).

Jeff Kuhlman

Principal Consultant and Account Executive: Jeff has over 25 years experience in aviation, systems engineering and project management. As a SeaTec consultant, he has been involved in aircraft hardware-software test integration for the U.S. Navy’s P-8A and the U.S. Air Force’s KC-46A Tanker. Recently Jeff has had his hand on spiral development projects for Australia’s Wedgetail program.  He has also been part of multiple system safety assessments on auxiliary fuel tank systems.  Prior to coming to SeaTec, Jeff spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy as a pilot. Ten years of Jeff’s career was spent in developmental flight test and evaluation as a test pilot. Projects included upgraded digital flight control systems, upgraded cockpits, weapons systems, and carrier suitability. After retiring from the Navy Jeff spent two years working for Boeing in Seattle on the carrier suitability and systems engineering teams for the Navy UCAS/X-45 project and then as a test pilot. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.

Sara Lerner

Vice President Human Resources: For nearly 20 years, Sara has been providing strategic Human Resources expertise and support for human capital functions. Her experience includes compensation and benefits; talent acquisition, management and development; management and leadership coaching; performance management and succession planning; teammate engagement and retention; and change management. While at SeaTec, Sara has played a key role in building the Human Resources function, improving processes and growing the SeaTec team, while continuing to reinforce SeaTec’s unique culture. She is responsible for compensation, benefits, on boarding, performance management and personnel relations. Prior to joining SeaTec, Sara was a Human Resources Business Partner at SunTrust Bank. While there, she provided thought leadership and served as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders and their leadership teams to identify business needs, enhance organizational design and effectiveness and deliver human capital strategies to drive business performance. Prior to SunTrust, Sara spent over 10 years in the Technology industry building and leading HR teams. Sara earned a Bachelor of Arts in French and Biology from Washington and Lee University.

Randy Lovell

Principal Consultant and Account Executive: Randy has over 35 years of experience in aerospace, systems engineering and program/project management. Randy started his aerospace career following his graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point and spent 5 years as a US Army Blackhawk pilot. Randy supported NASA and Human Spaceflight projects (Space Shuttle and Space Station) for 15 years of his career. His NASA Projects included several Space Shuttle & ISS upgrades including Electric APU, Docking Systems, and Water and Air Filtration Systems. He was on the NASA selection list for US Astronaut multiple times. In addition to his years supporting NASA, Randy worked on classified defense projects for Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and Beechcraft. Randy holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from West Point and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Houston.

Ron Little

Technical Fellow. Ron brings over 36 years of aviation experience in maintenance, reliability and maintenance programs.  Prior to joining SeaTec, he held leadership roles at Delta Air Lines, Inc. managing the maintenance programs of 13 fleet types.  He led his team through the Northwest Airlines / Delta merger to a harmonized maintenance program.  He led the effort to optimize the maintenance checks for each fleet type to industry leading intervals by utilizing Delta¹s Reliability Program. As the program evolved, it resulted in a more effective maintenance program with an increase in operational reliability and an overall cost savings/deferral of over $100M while returning numerous maintenance aircraft back to operational revenue service. He served leadership roles on A4A Maintenance Programs Industry Group and was selected by the FAA to Chair the Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee Working Group. He created a maintenance program working group for Delta, Delta Connection and Sky Team members to provide a forum to share program strategies and solutions.   Ron graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Allen McReynolds

Senior Vice President and Principal Consultant: Leads consulting team on major information systems integration programs for airline customers. Previously vice President of Global Aftermarket Sales for a leading aircraft manufacturer, Textron, responsible for service, parts and programs across 21 OEM Service Centers in eight countries. Previously Executive Vice President for Operations in the Services segment for Beechcraft, leading the business through Chapter 11, implementing strategic business initiatives and playing a key role in the sale of the company to Textron. Served in various roles a Tier 1 and Regional airlines in Planning, Programs, Finance Line Maintenance, Base maintenance, and Supply Chain. Allen earned a BS in Technical Operations Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and an MBA from Robert Morris University.

Jeff Pauls

Director, Programs and Technical Services. Jeff joined SeaTec with over 20 years of aviation experience in the areas of Engineering, Finance and Maintenance Management.  At Delta, Jeff was deeply involved with the DL / NW engineering migration process, working with IT to establish processes and complete acceptance testing as well as supporting the aircraft by aircraft migration. Jeff completed a 4 year international assignment as the Site Manager for A330 and 747 heavy maintenance in Singapore ­ creating strategic partnerships with local service providers to result in reduced cost and improved quality. He started the Delta Connection Engineering and Reliability group ­ playing a key role in year over year operational and safety metric improvements; served as the Safety and Engineering Business Unit Manager reporting to the SVP and Chief Safety Officer.  Jeff has an Airframe and Powerplant license, BS in Manufacturing Engineering from NDSU and a Masters of International Management from the University of St Thomas.

Phil Quist

CFO/Executive Vice President and Principal Consultant: As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Phil is a principal consultant with more than 25 years of experience in aviation, operations, technology and management. While at SeaTec, Phil has overseen major airline integration programs in the areas of engineering, planning, materials, and configuration control and compliance systems. The scope of major projects included technology program development and implementation, business processes, and organizational redesign and management. Prior to joining SeaTec, Phil was the Vice President of Operations and Business Development at Louis Berger Services. During his tenure there, Phil was responsible for the integration of maintenance information technology systems for a major US airline and US military. Phil has also held strategic C-level operations and technology positions at an industry leading Next-Generation Air Taxi company, SATSair, VantagePoint, InteractiVisions and served as a faculty member at Clemson University where he adapted Bell Labs’ interactive kiosk technology for educational and commercial purposes working with clients like Disney, AT&T, Sara Lee Corporation, US Airways and Universal Studios. Phil’s previous experience also includes Part 145 and Part 135 executive management of operations and technology.  Phil studied Computer Engineering at Clemson University.

Nehal Reddy

Vice President Transportation and Principal Consultant: Nehal has over 20 years of aviation experience with leadership roles in Maintenance Planning, MRO marketing and product developing and process engineering.  She consulted with airlines on enterprise level systems integration programs, merger and acquisition transition planning, organizational change management, business process design and implementation.  Prior to joining SeaTec, Nehal was General Manager for maintenance planning at Delta Air Lines with responsibility for aircraft routing, all airframe and line maintenance planning, engine planning, and forecasting, analysis, and strategic planning for $2 billion in annual maintenance spend.  Before this role, she led the marketing and product development team which generated $500 million in annual revenue by selling maintenance repair and overhaul services to airline operators throughout the world.  Nehal is a certified six sigma blackbelt along with experience in implementing Lean principles.  Nehal earned her Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and her MBA from Emory University.

Tim Rider

CEO/President and Principal Consultant: Consulted with large systems integrators, aircraft manufacturers, airlines, service providers, maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) providers, wireless communications providers and start-ups on a variety of engagements including: new business incubation, strategic planning, business plan development, product development, systems & technology integration, technology evaluation/sourcing, financial analysis/modeling, value analysis, pricing analysis/strategy, operations strategy and program management. Specific domains include: in-flight entertainment, airborne connectivity, crew and maintenance applications, electronic flight bag, web2.0 and “Software-As-A-Service” applications.   Also Founder and Chairman of Promise686 (, a non-profit adoption and foster care ministry serving families in the metro Atlanta area.   Prior to SeaTec, Tim was Director of Wireless Programs at Delta Air Lines, responsible for developing new e-commerce ventures to exploit wireless internet opportunities in the commercial travel industry; this included structuring ‘Connexion’ joint venture to deliver high speed internet connectivity onboard the aircraft in partnership with Boeing, American and United Airlines; and, a partnership with Softnet Systems to deliver wireless services and content in airports and hotels.  Also while at Delta, served as Director Operation IT Portfolio and in various aircraft engineering positions.   Tim earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and his MBA Finance from Emory University.

Doug Wiese

Principal Consultant and Chief Engineer: Doug brings over 25 years experience in system development, certification and deployment of avionics systems, onboard maintenance systems and aircraft ground support systems. While at SeaTec,  Doug has consulted on the development of web-based applications used by airlines for maintaining their aircraft, integration of electronic flight bag equipment into the 787 flight deck, integration of the airborne components and ground solutions for a health management system on the Navy’s P-8A and developing the system architecture for the 737 Onboard Network System and 737 MAX Onboard Maintenance Function. Prior to joining SeaTec, Doug worked for Honeywell leading the systems engineering effort on a next generation weather radar for the C-17. Doug also spent time at BSQUARE Corporation where he managed engineering services engagements for embedded consumer electronics such as automobile navigation systems and smartphones. Before BSQUARE, Doug worked for the Boeing Company where he held a variety of positions including manager of 757 airplane avionics, lead engineer over Flight Data Recorder systems for 747, 767 and 777 airplanes and lead engineer of the team developing 777 Onboard Maintenance System. Doug earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.

Suzanne Wong

Director, Accounting. Suzanne leads the SeaTec accounting team to provide our customers with an accurate and professional experience in regards to the financial transactions related to our consulting services.  She supports our team with all our systems that tie into the accounting as well as the leadership team with accurate and timely financial project management.  Prior to joining SeaTec, Suzanne spent 10 years in public accounting, progressing to manager, and gaining experience in auditing and compliance, financial statement preparation, individual and corporate income tax and consulting with clients on their daily accounting and payroll concerns.  Suzanne is a Certified Public Accountant and earned her BA in Accounting and Masters of Accountancy from the University of Montana.

Scott Woodison

Director, Operational Excellence: With over 25 years experience, Scott has extensive experience in financial reporting, systems and controls implementation, auditing and compliance, forecasting and budgeting, cash flow management and modeling, administration, and human resources. After spending 8 years in public accounting progressing to Audit Manager, he joined a $60M professional services firm as Corporate Controller, subsequently working through the sale of the firm to Hewlett Packard. Most recently, Scott spent 10 years with a mid-sized international technology company progressing to the position of Director of Finance. During that time, he oversaw the accounting and administrative functions as the company grew from pre-revenue, completed 3 mergers and acquisitions, and subsequently moved into a similar role upon the sale of the company. At that time, he was responsible for the full revenue cycle, including customer contracts, revenue recognition and financial systems and processes supporting over 8,000 customers. Scott earned his BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia, and holds a Certified Public Accountant license.
